Zubák is situated in the north-west part of Slovakia. Its land area unfolds in the northern part of Biele Karpaty, in upper part of the valley called the same name, where the brook Zubák flows. The village lies 20 km northern west from Púchov.
The area of the village has 2595 hectares. The altitude of the village ranges from 400 to 854 meters, whereby the centre of the village lies in 420 m altitude. Land area has a protracted shape from west to east.
It borders with villages Lysá pod Makytou, Lúky pod Makytou, Záriečie, Mestečko, in the east with Dohňany, Horná Breznica and in the south with Lednica and Červený Kameň. In a great forested western area is found the border between Slovakia and the Czech Republic, where Zubák neighbours with bounds of villages Strelná, Študlov, Nedašova Lhota.
